Client side form validation February 8th, 2007

Form validation is vital to every web based application, and too often I’ve seen it implemented page-by-page. Custom code blocks to check for email address formats, telephone numbers, social security numbers, etc.

If you need client-side form validation and you can rely on javascript, I highly recommend Andrew Tetlaw’s “Really easy field validation.” It does require prototype.js and of course, java script enabled browsing.

I’ve written a few additional validators that I’ll post sometime soon for anyone that might be interested.

Hello Blog! February 2nd, 2007

After a good deal of debate, we’ve given up on a website redesign and deployed a Fusion Bay blog.

In case you don’t know who we are: Fusion Bay is a web application development firm in Baltimore, MD. We were founded in 2004. We provide contract application development and programming resources throughout the US and the majority of our work comes from partnerships with web design firms and advertising agencies. Our skill-set includes programming in most of the popular languages, infrastructure planning/engineering, and database administration.

This will be a place where we write about programming, business and the development of Fusion Bay. To view more information on our products and services, please view our “About Fusion Bay” page. »
